The room was always tidy, thanks to attentive housekeeping. Our romantic dinners were made special with candlelit service and a great wine selection.

It wasn't inexpensive, but given the experience, it was totally worth it.

The room size was great, offering a spacious feel. the A/C struggled even set at 67 degrees; the humidity was noticeable. We had an issue with a potential leak by the balcony door. The beds were on the firm side, which some may find less comfortable. Noise levels were concerning, especially being near the stairwell and restaurant, leading to disturbances throughout the morning. Housekeeping missed replenishing our toilet paper. Although the room had some drawbacks, the overall atmosphere was enjoyable, and the service in other areas of the resort balanced things out well.

So, my recent stay at the Royalton Chic Resort in Cancun was a bit of a mixed bag. First off, let's talk about the positives. The hotel rooms were tidy and clean, with some really nice decor. The pool and pool bar were fantastic, and the cocktails and other drinks were delicious. the beach right in front of the hotel was super easy to access, and they provided free towels, which was convenient. Now, onto the not-so-great stuff. The air conditioning in the rooms was a major issue for us. It just didn't seem to work properly, and in Cancun's heat, that's a big deal. the hallways had a funky smell of mold and mildew, which was not pleasant at all. The whole check-in process was a nightmare, taking up a big chunk of our first day there. We were looking for a room with working AC for over three hours - exhausting! the dining experience left much to be desired. The food at all the restaurants, including the buffet, was pretty disappointing. And I must mention the lack of attention to cleaning - our room smelled like fried foods every day, and the bed sheets even had a hole in them. In terms of service, there were some ups and downs. While the pool and bar staff were super friendly and accommodating, the wait staff often overlooked us. It felt like a bit of a mixed bag. while there were some good aspects to the Royalton Chic Resort, there were definitely some significant areas that could use improvement.
